The Pointing Dog Social Club is a 30-minute outdoor/musical variety show produced through a collaboration among WKRM Radio (Kennedy Broadcasting Company), lilDRAGON Entertainment, CountryRoad.TV, Marshall County Community Theatre, The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, and Spotted Dog Productions. 🎥 The show is filmed and recorded at the famous Dixie Theatre, a classic 1930’s venue located in historic Lewisburg, Tennessee, The Margaret Mitchell House in Atlanta, and the studios of Georgia Public Broadcasting.
The premise of the show is the weekly meeting of a small town civic club, The Pointing Dog Social Club, which meets in the endearing and fictitious town of Pointing Dog, Tennessee. The show is a celebration of Southern culture, music, and the sporting life. Dr. John White is the host. John first launched this show on Georgia Public Broadcasting. The Pointing Dog Social Club will air on WKRM radio, as well as CountryRoad.TV.
Every week Pointing Dog welcomes great musical guests and actors to present a unique small-town experience.

Dr. John White has written and produced the documentaries Lost Masterpiece: Karl Brown’s Stark Love and Showman and the Hero: Jesse Lasky and Sergeant Alvin C. York. He has written the book and play, No Kin to Elvis, as well as, the nonfiction book D. Man: My Life and Boxing. Additionally, he has written for Film History: An International Journal; Alabama Heritage; Kentucky Humanities; Smokies Life Magazine, among other publications. HOWEVER, he is most proud of his many years as a hunting guide and bird dog trainer.
